Can aluminium recycling
The procedures for recycling cans after consumption consist of shredding the aluminium, separating any different materials, and transporting the product to smelters. After a quality check on the material, the smelters pre-treat it at 500 °C to remove any coatings and adhesive foreign substances and then smelt it at 800 °C to liquid aluminium and finally to ingots.
