Motor vehicles contain many homogeneous plastic parts that are easy to recycle. Bumpers are made of polypropylene, seat paddings of polyurethane, tanks of high-density polyethylene, and hubcaps of polyamide. Dashboards and some lamps are also made of plastic. In recycling, these components are crushed, ground, sorted and pulverized. The granulate takes on a new life through recovery. The finished product can then be processed and used in various sectors like construction, packaging, furniture, toys or return to its origin: the automobile industry.
