WEEE group R2, i.e. large white goods (washing machines, dishwashers, microwave ovens, cookers) are electrical and electronic waste that must be subjected to the correct treatment and sent for differentiated recycling of the materials of which they are made, such as copper, iron, steel, aluminium, glass and silver. This avoids wasting resources that can be reused to build new appliances.
Recycling them consists first of volumetric reduction and then separation, i.e. mechanical processing to separate the other materials from their constituent metals.
