Over the years, the incessant use of fertilizers and chemical products in agriculture and forestry, has contributed to consider the combustion of scrubs and chemically treated residues as harmful to human health and highly polluting. In this sense, the legislator intervened by placing limitations giving rise to two precise distinctions:
with the law 156/2016 contained in the Consolidated Environmental Act, mowing and pruning are excluded from this type of discipline while branches, prunings and all other materials deriving from agricultural activities will have to undergo a process of disposal and recycling, effectively canceling the environmental impact and with various possibilities for subsequent re-use. In fact, these types of waste can be used to produce energy from biomass or as biofuels for district heating.
CAMEC has developed a range of machines specific to these particular applications.
