In recent years, the collection and recycling of plastic caps, a material with high added value, is increasingly linked to various social initiatives that have arisen throughout the territory through charitable associations that most often act as collection centers themselves. In general, the recycling of PE, 2 or HDPE caps is a gesture as simple as it is fundamental for safeguarding the environment, as the recycling characteristics are optimal and the types of products that can be produced are countless.
The high density polyethylene of the caps is recycled and processed separately from the PET bottles. In recent years, however, the technology has developed to the point of allowing a process to be carried out in which plastic bottles and caps are processed simultaneously and meticulously separated for subsequent re-use.
