CAMEC Solutions for Aluminum Recycling
In the picture there is one of the plants made for the treatment of Aluminum in Chips and in Packs and Cans in tinplate made with Frontal Tilting Unit and the GSR480 grinder of the GS Line.
The GSR480 shredder is a single-rotor with electric motorization equipped with a radial pusher and plates with a high capacity to adapt to the material, capable of shredding even in soft mode.
Used in an Aluminum Recovery Plant, it guarantees high performance with all types of materials, together with a proportionately reduced energy consumption.

As is known, there are raw materials that are particularly suitable for recycling, because they can be reused over and over again. A prime example is aluminum.
Aluminum is a light, ductile, malleable and corrosion resistant material, an excellent conductor of electricity, heat and sound waves. Moreover, being able to protect from light, bacteria and air, it is certainly ideal for storing food. Indestructible, easy to collect and 100% recyclable, this metal can be reused indefinitely and is suitable for multiple uses.
Recovering it is convenient because it is a widespread, but not unlimited, natural element and because its extraction and processing involve costs and pollution.
The aluminum obtained from recycling is transported to the foundries where it begins a second life as an excellent quality secondary raw material, becoming a precious resource for various uses: the can from which we drink today may have been a caffettier in the past, and, in the future, could become part of our car. With recycled aluminum parts of bicycles, motorcycles, scooters, cars, planes and trains, doors, windows and roofs, glasses and watches, design objects, furniture and, of course, packaging are made.
Over 75% of the aluminum that has always been produced, in fact, is still in circulation and could be enough to meet world needs for centuries. For this reason, aluminum is considered one of the most representative symbols of the Circular Economy and Sustainability.
In 2020, Italy was confirmed last year among the excellences at European level for the amount of recycled aluminum produced. With its 72.5% of recycled material, it has exceeded the objectives that the EU has set: that is 50% by 2025 and 60% by 2030. A result that made it possible to avoid greenhouse gas emissions equal to 355 thousand tons of CO2 and save energy for over 153 thousand tons of oil equivalent. (HANDLE).
CAMEC also plays its role in the aluminum recycling chain with its machinery and plants. In fact, the disposal process begins with the volumetric reduction and continues with grinding and possible selection if there is a need to separate the aluminum from any other materials.
Aluminum can come from industrial waste, but also from waste derived from cans and containers, profiles, radiators and heat exchangers, from vehicles to be scrapped, WEEE and much more.
